Tower stone house from 1869

Built in 1869, our vacation home still retains its original features and architectural characteristics.

The current owners restored the monument with respect, in order to highlight its historic value while using discreet and minimal interventions to turn it into a modern vacation house suitable for 4 persons. Stone and wood, the two key materials, are harmonically combined in an environment furnished with original antiques and authentic dated artifacts.

The house provides all the modern conveniences and services. The building is independently situated, fully autonomous and consists of 3 levels. On the ground floor are the living areas: kitchen, dining - sitting room and wc and more importantly an extensive outdoor patio space, great for enjoying a cool relaxing morning or evening rest. On the intermediate level, set within the arched stone-ceiling and accessed by a wooden staircase, are two single beds. From this level, the stone staircase carved into the wall takes you to the third (top) level with the master suite: a bedroom and bathroom. This level opens out onto the roof terrace and a wooden balcony, from which you can enjoy extensive views to the town of Gythion and the coastline of the Laconic Bay. The underground floor, currently a cellar, was originally a great cistern used to collect rainwater.

The tower is located within an olive grove and provides ample parking space. The guests will get acquainted with the life of a different era while relaxing and visiting unique destinations, all within easy reach. Our goal is to provide a quiet, delightful and memorable stay.

Please note: Due to its unique traditional architecture and interiors, the tower may impose difficulties to persons with disabilities and requires extra care for younger children.
