Perched on a hill in an olive grove overlooking Gythio town and the Laconic Gulf, Pyrgos 1989, aims to offer guests a peaceful, enjoyable, and memorable stay by introducing them to a bygone era while, at the same time, letting them unwind and discover the many nearby natural, historic and contemporary sights.
Originally built in 1869, our vacation home still retains its original features and architectural characteristics.
The Tower was respectfully restored in 2013, to both preserve its historic value and convert it into a modern vacation home via discreet, slight modifications. Stone and wood, the two key materials, are harmoniously combined in a space accented with antiques and heirlooms.
The tower is located in a 4-acre olive grove in a quiet environment, and the focal point is the courtyard with with a dining area, as well as a private swimming pool (measuring 4.5 by 5.5 m and with a depth of 1.10 to 1.40 m) with comfortable sun loungers under a pergola.
Guests will become familiar with life in a different era, experience living in a tower dating back to 1869, while relaxing and visiting unique destinations.
It is the perfect choice for families seeking privacy or couples who want to enjoy romantic moments.
The Tower's tended grounds are a mixture of stonework, verdant trees, and wildflowers. The 4-acre property also includes a vegetable garden and guests are often treated to a basket of fresh produce. The long private driveway offers ample parking space, while both the downstairs and upstairs furnished terraces are the perfect oases to enjoy Greece's formidable weather and awe-inspiring views
